Context
Operator seed (2026-07-04, live): "we need stunning interactive examples with animations and a beautiful design… we could even use them for creating youtube videos." Lane 3's bar (D#14561) is ≥2 stunning PUBLIC demos; this is Demo A — buildable NOW against shipped dockZone.v1 ops, no spec gate.
The Problem
The docking substrate is real and shipped, and completely invisible: no public surface makes the story legible to a stranger. Lane 6 explicitly consumes lanes 1–3's demos as reach artifacts (the demo-to-metric loop), and the funnel-sync convergence (biz-repo, 2026-07-04) makes measurable public assets the door. A verification example (#13247) is not a showcase — different consumer, different bar.
The Architectural Reality
- Shipped ops to choreograph: split/tab adapters,
resizeSplit, setItemAutoHidden (+ drag preview, splitter resize) — src/dashboard/*, contract learn/agentos/HarnessDockZoneModel.md.
- Consumer boundary with #13247 (Vega): his standalone example = the correctness/verification surface; this leaf = the showcase/reach surface. Both consume the same model; neither replaces the other.
- Design-first bar: the FM-cockpit precedent (
apps/agentos/design/fleet-manager-cockpit-plan.html) — design artifact before build, "flagship or embarrassment" standard.
- Placement: NEW app files ⇒ structural-pre-flight runs at claim (candidates: an
apps/ showcase app vs examples/ extension; sibling sweep decides — recorded here as the gate, not pre-decided).
The Fix
One PR delivering the showcase:
- Design artifact first (HTML mock, house precedent) — layout story, motion language, visual identity; reviewed before build.
- The choreography demo: a beautiful, themed surface where dock operations run as smooth animated transitions (FLIP-class) — split, re-tab, auto-hide/reveal, resize — hand-driven AND NL-driven (consumes the NL dock tools leaf).
- Scripted tour mode: a deterministic, NL-driven run that plays the full story end-to-end. The tour IS the video path: screen-record a tour run, publish — no hand-driving, reproducible takes. Public-safe content only (no client names, per standing rule).
Acceptance Criteria
Out of Scope
- Perspectives + multi-window pop-out (Demo B — spec-gated sibling).
- The e2e spec suite (sibling leaf; consumes the tour).
- NL tool implementation (sibling leaf; this consumes it).
- Public performance claims (inherited #13032 guardrail).
